Giving Back
The Inman Company places great emphasis on offering pro-bono work on a local, national and international level by constant involvement with charitable causes.
2000 – Shane was creative consultant to the Miami City Ballet, Southern Florida’s largest nonprofit organization, where he planned several highly visible events and galas.
2001 – Shane served as a goodwill ambassador to Africa as a micro-economic business advisor with the United States Peace Corps, teaching English and AutoCAD.
2002 – Shane acted as a subcontracted creative planner to the Miami City Ballet
2003 – Shane served as a goodwill ambassador to Africa as a microeconomic business advisor with the United States Peace Corps, teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) and automated computer-aided design (AutoCAD).
2007 – Shane acted as the lead sponsor and event designer for the nonprofit Traverse Symphony Orchestra (TSO) Ball in Traverse City, Michigan.
2007 – Shane was event designer of the highly visible nonprofit Traverse City Film Festival’s opening and closing events for acclaimed film director Michael Moore.
2008 – The Inman Company was the presenting sponsor for the popular Ugly Kitchen contest that awarded a free $35,000 custom kitchen to one lucky winner in Northern Michigan.
2008 – The Inman Company was acting judge for the Festival of Tables event benefiting Child and Family Services of Northwestern Michigan.
2008-2010 – Shane sat on a panel of professionally certified ASID leaders that critiqued junior interior design theses at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan.
2011 – Shane is interiors director for the Randolph Street Market in Chicago, Illinois, where he acts as spokesperson for local and national awareness of the benefits of purchasing vintage products to help support the environment.
2011 - 2012 – Shane is the interior designer for the new Big Brothers Big Sisters, United Way and Third Level facility in Traverse City, Michigan, which benefits children and young adults in need.
